It's About Them -

The latest CDC statistics (2009) on the multiple birth rate in the United States reports that the 2009 twin birth rate rose 33.2 per 1,000, with 133,217 live births, another record high. The twinning rate rose 70 percent between 1980 and 2004, but the pace of the increased rate has slowed in recent years. The 2009 triplet/+ birth rate was 153.5 per 100,000 which is the first rise in this rate since 2001. The triplet/+birth rate climbed more than 400 percent between 1980 and 1998. It's About Us -

The National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting families of multiple birth children through education, research, and networking.

The National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs, Inc., is very excited about our fifth annual Multiple Birth Awareness month in April 2013. Our objective is to help spread the word of the services provided by our organization through research, education and support from local community clubs.

In support of our mission:

In partnering with local support groups, health care providers, researchers, and educators, and with the highest standards of integrity, respect and professionalism, we endeavor to aid parents of multiples and to raise public awareness of the unique qualities of multiple birth families.

NOMOTC will be working with our member clubs in planning local and national events in support of educating our communities about the wonderful world of multiples. Additionally, these events help to spread the word about the support groups and networks existing today which can provide ongoing support.

 It's About You -

Each of you — local support groups, educators, medical professionals, and media     personnel — play a critical role in this endeavor.   During April 2013, we are asking

that you involve your local community by planning events to raise the awareness of multiple births while celebrating these special individuals and their families.

Our 2013 goal is to double the number of clubs that share their local events and celebrations with other clubs on our MBA website.

NOMOTC has put together this Multiple Birth Awareness Kit to help you get started.   It includes event ideas, press releases, flyers, and communications that can be used in planning and executing your local awareness efforts.  Each event, no matter how big or small, makes a difference. By joining together, we can make a lasting impact.
